Get started with Mini Agent
You and everyone on Mini Agent owns a workspace. A workspace has sections, members, tasks and a wide variety of concepts (i.e. billing periods, API keys) associated to it, so by extension, everything on Mini Agent takes place in a workspace.
A workspace is always given a friendly name. By default, a workspace is given your email's username (e.g. for john@gmail.com you get "John's workspace"), but you can also edit your workspace name in the "My Workspace" tab and set it to any arbitrary name (e.g. "Corner Bikeshop").
Use a broad name for your workspace
If you set a custom workspace name, use a broad name that conveys its purpose to you and your team. You can always add sections to a workspace to help you express smaller concepts.
By default, a workspace has a section called General where you can start adding tasks and members. In the "My Workspace" tab inside the "Sections" sub-tab you can view/edit/delete all the sections that belong to a workspace. It's possible to create an unlimited number of sections and section hierarchies in a workspace, with the purpose of segmenting access/visiblity to tasks and members.
You can invite anyone with an email to participate in your workspace. Just go to the "My Workspace" tab and click on the 'Invite Member' button. Once you introduce the person's email, he/she will be invited to register with Mini Agent and you will see the status of this process in this same area.
By default, invited members are given a contributor role on all sections of a workspace, so they're able to work on any workspace tasks. These workspace permissions can be restricted once a user accepts an invitation, in addition, a user can also be completly removed from a workspace at any time.
To create a task you're required to provide a task title, as well as the workspace and section to which the task will be assigned. All other task fields, like description, due date, assigned to user and priority, among other things, are optional. Once a task is created, you can edit any task fields.
KEY TAKEAWAYS
- A workspace can have an unlimited amount of members, it's just capped by active tasks in a plan.
- A workspace can have an unlimited amount of sections, allowing it to have all kinds of categories (departments, dates or arbitrary groupings) to restrict access/visiblity to specific tasks and members.
- You can't have more than one workspace. Simply use sections to organize members and tasks if you find yourself in need of more than one workspace.
- As long as the owner of a workspace has an active plan, anyone invited can participate. This means only the owner of a workspace must make a payment to keep the workspace active, invited users can continue to use Mini Agent even if their personal workspace is inactive.
